What was the first open day all about?
Firstly
it was to publicise the fact that a Parish Plan was being prepared and
that it was open to all residents of the Parish to contribute towards
it.
Secondly, it was to hear from residents what are the issues that concern us now and what we would like to see (or not see) in the future.
It is the first step in a series of events to ensure that everyone with a stake in the future of the Village and surrounding area, has a chance to influence the shape of that future.
The Steering Group will analyse the comments and formulate a questionnaire that will be issued to each household to complete. The results of this questionnaire will be used to develop the plan for the future.
Many changes to the planning system are being proposed by the Localism Bill which is now before Parliament. This would give a greater say to local people as to what happens in their area. It makes this Plan even more important
